Franklin, TN - There will be a celebration of life later in the spring. It was Bill's wishes to be cremated with no formal visitation and funeral service at this time. The date of his celebration will be announced later.

Jesse William "Bill" Berry, age 81, of Franklin, TN, formerly of Dickson County, died January 31, 2026, at Williamson Medical Center.

Bill was born in Dickson County on November 12, 1944, and was the son of the late Ray Alexander and Mary Cooksey Berry. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Ray Berry Fox.

Bill was a graduate of Charlotte High School and later attended and graduated from Austin Peay with a B.S. in accounting. He traveled the world with his work, building float glass furnaces as an independent contractor. Bill was a member of the Ohio Brick Layers Union and the International Brick Layers Union.

Bill lived a life of fun and adventure. He loved riding his Harley and attending bike rallies, he was a fan of Nascar always following Sterling Marlin and loved attending the races at Bristol and Talladega. He loved spending time at the beach and was an avid reader and Sudoku player.

Bill is survived by wife of 19 years, Emily Cooksey Berry, his stepson Kevin Walsh and his stepdaughter Jennifer (Chris) Daffer; his sister, Linda Berry Reynolds (Stan); his three grandchildren, Gracie, Logan and Haden; his nephews, Quint Reynolds (Laura), Matt Fox (Kathy), John Fox (Dawn), Jesse Fox (Charley); his nieces, Amber Potter (Tim), Gena Mason (Alvin), Holly Carter (Dave); great-nieces, Beasley Reynolds and Lucy Potter; great-nephews, Luke Potter (Hannah), Travis Potter (Kaitlin).
