Dickson, TN - Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Thomas Southerland officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Her place of rest will be in the Middle TN State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

Roberta Ann Mangrum née Nicks of Dickson, TN, born February 17, 1941, and died February 13, 2026, at NHC of Dickson.

A native of Dickson County, Roberta grew up on the family farm in the Rock Church community. In 1962, she married George Mangrum and spent nearly two decades as the devoted wife of a Navy Seabee. They raised three children together, living in various locations in the southeastern United States and in Iceland. They ultimately returned to Dickson County, where they resumed a quiet life with family and friends. A devout Christian, Roberta was happiest caring for a family of elderly sisters and welcoming children into her home. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by husband, George Monroe Mangrum, daughter and son-in-law Toni Kay and Roger Hampton, parents Hubert and Hazel Matlock Nicks, brother Lawrence Nicks, and sister Charlene Henderson.

Survivors include her sons David Mangrum (Kathy) of Charlotte, TN, Daniel Mangrum (Jennifer) of Dickson, TN; grandchildren Jacob Hampton (Jennifer), Erin Lewis (Adam), Phillip Hampton, Samuel (Mayerly), Micah, Elijah, and Sophia Mangrum; numerous great-grandchildren; brother John Ray Nicks, and numerous nieces and nephews.
