Burns, TN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 10 AM at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Dickson. The family will receive friends that morning starting at 9 AM in the Social Hall of St. Christopher's Catholic Church.

Sharon Ann Jackson Long, 74, of Burns, TN, died peacefully January 29, 2026, in Nashville.
Born to the late Dr. James T. Jackson and Mary Ann Aitchison Jackson, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Dr. Robert Jackson and Dr. Bill Jackson. Sharon earned a Master's in Education from Austin Peay State University after raising her young children. She went on to serve Dickson County schools as an elementary teacher for 35 years. She loved inspiring children to read, think, and discover the natural world.
She is survived by her siblings Linda Walter, Dr. Roger Jackson, Terry Todd, Doug Jackson, Lisa Hawkins, Andrea Luplow, and Amy Cronin. She is mourned by her three children, Meredith Pelham (Shuler), Ed Long (Heidi), and Melissa Swain (Jeremy); and nine grandchildren.
